Counselling is a journey. You decide the destination. Together we will walk the roads to your destination. Along the way you may tire but I will endeavour to prompt you forward. I will point out any short cuts I know but ultimately you decide your path and I will assist you on your way.

With 20 years experience as a front line worker I have first hand knowledge of the culture, stresses, and trauma that emergency service personnel encounter. During this time I have also dealt with many people in crisis and my approach has been that of non-judgmental supporter.

I look forward to connecting with you and applying trauma-theory to support you in the recovery from depression, anxiety and all the different types of distress that can take root in the nervous system. My ongoing education is dedicated to assisting you in achieving freedom from the past—something best achieved with warmth and skilled intervention.

I have worked with the Federal Government on Mental Health Advisory Groups, been involved in a number of critical incident debriefs, group therapy work and trauma support.
