an opportunity to reflect. I also believe in the power of human
connection as in my experience, it is the single best vehicle in which to
work through the wide variety of mental health issues. In my practice I
aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental space, an empathic ear,
along with understanding and respect.
When we meet, I hope we can slow down and unravel the complexity of
life’s challenges. In supporting you, I will focus on listening intently.
Along our journey, I may stop our conversation to ask a couple of
questions and if I notice a pattern in your thoughts or actions, I will
verbalize them. By doing so, we can start to process some of the
experiences you are having and if you would like we can also seek a
different path through these difficult experiences. Above all, my wish is
to walk with you on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
My background is in supporting young men and boys with a host of
concerns, including complex family experiences, challenging
experiences in school at work or with friends such as bullying and
loneliness, loss of loved ones, and confusion related to gendered-based
stereotypes and the restrictive nature of gender roles. I look forward to
applying these experiences with my learnings from my ongoing master’s
degree in Counselling Psychology in supporting you.
