Career Counselling

Before beginning work as a therapist, I was primarily a community mental health worker within Vancouver’s Downtown East-Side. Through this work, I learned to connect with people in a variety of contexts, with a range of challenges and problems.

I practice an integrated and eclectic experiential approach to counselling; everyone is unique and living a unique experience, and the more that experience can be acknowledged and made visible, the better. I am a firm believer in meeting you where you are, attempting to see life through your eyes, and collaborating together on how to best move forward and thrive.

I am currently a doctoral candidate in counselling psychology at the University of British Columbia. With a research focus on the experiences of front-line mental health workers, my goal is to support the overall health and sustainability of these workers through research and practice that identifies protective factors and increases healthy coping responses.

In addition, I have training and experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, occupational challenges, and grief and loss in both individual and group counselling settings.

Please note that community health workers and first responders will be given priority.
