No matter what you are struggling with or how insurmountable these challenges feel, the first step to healing is to reach out and break the isolation.
I understand and acknowledge that this first step can be difficult and overwhelming. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their personal challenges, grow, create change, and experience healing that transcends the counselling room.
Our upbringing, beliefs and experiences create a blueprint that heavily influences our sense of self, our behaviours, and relationships. Through empathetic awareness and understanding of this blueprint, we can begin the healing process and set the stage to create meaningful change.
I specialize in clients struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma and interpersonal conflict. I also work with couples, both individually and together, who are feeling stuck and discouraged in their relationship, to identify the root of ongoing struggles, increase intimacy, and open the path to better communication.
As a clinician, I believe in the connection between our physical, mental and emotional aspects. I draw from a combination of somatic, emotion-focused, and cognitive-behavioural therapy and mindfulness techniques. My approach to counselling is a collaborative one, where the client is viewed as the “expert” in their life.
My hope is to assist and empower you in your journey of self-discovery, so that you may create the change you desire and thrive.
