The sad truth is I hear variations of this very often. When people feel anxious. Depressed. Angry. Overwhelmed.


What’s even more sad is it doesn’t have to be this way. That’s because emotions contain important information – they’re trying to tell us something. But common reactions are to stuff them down or push them away, especially when they’re big and raw. So the emotions don’t get heard.
