The sad fact is that negative thoughts can stay with you long after abuse and neglect have passed. And they can be even more powerful when they gang up on you with your body, leaving you depressed, anxious, and struggling with an altered sense of yourself and the world.
I am here to remind you, like a friend would, that you are good enough. You are lovable. You can help yourself. And there is hope. That’s because you are not your thoughts, and you can learn to befriend your body.
I know it’s hard to imagine things can be different when you’re struggling so much. It can be even more difficult when you’ve been living like this for so long that it’s the only way you know how.
The good news is that you’ve been resourceful to get this far and, by reading my bio, you’ve taken a big step toward change. We haven’t met yet but you already have my respect, because it takes courage to consider counselling, especially if it’s your first time.
If you feel I can help you, I welcome you to get in touch.
